Our previous client required us to provide further support following completion of their in-source programme.  We were requested to provide ongoing Portfolio and Project support to assist with building the team’s work stack, it’s ongoing management, resource allocation and project management of the deliverables.
Flexible PM Approach

  • Development of a Portfolio work stack to identify clear delivery objectives
    • Management of the Portfolio Workstack and associated resource
    • Introduction of a small change management process and oversight of deliverables within this category
    • Project Management of a number of projects, including:

– Replacement of Managed Print Services
– Transition and upgrade of Citrix environment from parent company
– Introduction of a Remote Assistance tool for support staff
– Upgrade of the existing Monitoring tool and wider distribution of it as a service
– Skype for Business – move to Cloud solution as a step to full telephony proposition
– Skype for Business Telephony replacement

Outcome

  • Clear roadmap of projects to be delivered.  Resources allocated and managed through weekly task allocation (using MSTeams Planner)
  • Project governance introduced, providing clear objective, delivery plan and action tracking
  • Small Change process allowed for light touch approach to delivery
